How this concept developed.
'While TVN (aka Taylavision') was in its infancy in Sydney, 'R' rang to ask me if I could draw something he was trying to describe to a business prospect. He told me a creative director of an agency recommended TVN, saying, "If it really is a good idea Greg will deliver an impressive work on time for sure."
The business of ingenuity.
Kiwi ingenuity is threaded throughout New Zealand's history with stories that have inspired us to rise to the top with little more than a good idea and the right attitude.
TVN. Inspired by great men I have met.
I used to visit Bruce McLaren's workshop after primary school. He showed me how he produced his ideas from his sketches. Pretty cool for such a man when we think about what he has achieved. Us Kiwi kids never shied away from exploring our own ideas. We have impacted the arts, industry, commerce and recreation because we knew how to manage our own ideas almost as soon they occurred to us.
TVN is intuition, ingenuity and collaboration.
Having worked exclusively in the creative industries Greg knows there is some anxiety that comes with actioning an idea. TVN turns that energy around and into a creative service that began in London and then in Sydney (1980-2002).
He started with a dip in Graphic Art and Design at ATI (now AUT) and stepped into a career as an art director, developing new products. His proficient sketches promoted ideas so they may be seen to be believed. As a result creatives began to realise that ideas actually contain everything necessary to accomplish them.
Today, TVN has been recognised by project designers, DOPs, urban designers and engineers, entrepreneurs, architects and visionaries to save time and money and assist their innate desire to be creative, productive and profitable from their ideas.
